School Hall Construction – Click here for project timelapse!
HXP Builders constructed a new school hall to relieve overcrowding. The space gives students access to a proper classroom and provides indoor testing areas for those who once had to take exams at night or outside under trees. This improved learning environment is helping students to improve and perform higher academically. The hall also serves teachers and parents as a shared space to support students’ education. The project included the addition of new toilets, improving both hygiene and safety. Altogether, the building now benefits 75 to 100 children, supporting their learning and overall well-being.

HXP Builders helped relieve overcrowding at a primary school in Malawi by constructing two new classrooms. The school had 1,650 students, with some learning in a church building and others outside under a tree. The new classrooms are safe, bright, and inviting, providing a better learning space for 200 students while easing overcrowding and encouraging higher attendance, increased enrollment, and stronger academic performance. By building these classrooms, HXP Builders have provided these children with a stronger foundation for their education and future.

Refugee Art Center Construction – Click here for project timelapse!
HXP Builders built the Refugee Arts Center in Dzaleka, a space designed to spark creativity and support the mental well-being of around 300 young refugees. With programs in music, dance, theater, and crafts, these youth gained therapeutic outlets to express themselves and develop valuable skills. The center offers a safe, inspiring space that relieves stress and builds resilience, helping youth avoid the risks that come with boredom and despair, including substance abuse and depression. This project offers a positive alternative and a sense of purpose, fostering a more hopeful and supportive future for the young people of Dzaleka Camp.
Clifford, our Local Coordinator, said, “The project was definitely an answered prayer for many refugees at Ubuntu and the camp in general because it created jobs for many and changed the infrastructure of the community. This will promote Talent & art among the refugees. While the project was in progress, the workers & builders built friendships that made work easy. It seemed like one big family working together towards one goal. Each day was exciting for the builders and workers. From the many refugees I’ve spoken to, HXP is a heavenly blessing they’ve prayed for and has become an answered prayer through the project.”

HXP Builders built two new classrooms for a primary school in Uganda. These classrooms provided roughly 180 students the space they needed to learn effectively. With more space, students experience less overcrowding, allowing teachers to give more individual attention and helping students better engage in class. This is making it easier for students to succeed in their studies and develop important social skills. Overall, the project aimed to empower students and create positive change in the community.
Our Local Coordinator, Godfrey, said, “The HXP project of building a school brought lasting hope and transformation to the community. It not only provided children with a safe place to learn but also united community members and builders in a shared spirit of service. Watching young people work side by side with locals showed how love and hard work can build more than walls—they build faith, opportunity, and a brighter future.”

HXP Builders addressed overcrowding by constructing two new classrooms, each designed to hold 150 students. With a total enrollment of 2,500, many existing classrooms struggled to provide an effective learning environment. These new classrooms improved education by allowing teachers to better engage with students and give them individual attention, thereby empowering students to succeed and to reach their academic goals.
Misheck, our Local Coordinator, said, “The HXP project of building a school brought lasting hope and transformation to the community. It not only provided children with a safe place to learn but also united community members and builders in a shared spirit of service. HXP Builders added two new classroom blocks at a primary school with 600 students. Each classroom was built to hold 50 students, thereby enabling the school to enroll 100 more kids. By reducing crowded classrooms, this project created a better environment for students to learn and focus, empowering their academic growth and making school a more positive experience for everyone.
Our Local Coordinator, Twanda, said, “The Pote Primary school project provided members of Pote Domboshava area with an opportunity to have their area upgraded with new learning facilities for their children in the area. The intended purpose of the project was to add more classrooms for Pote primary school since there was a great shortage for classes at the school. Many children used to learn from outside due to shortage of classes. The abnormal at this school had become the norm where little children would learn under the trees in the cold, windy, hot season and sometimes not to come to school due to heavy rains.
The project also provided a great opportunity and an amazing time for builders to work in unison and development of certain construction skills as they were working with a very professional constructor. The builders demonstrated Christ like attributes during all stages of the project, they loved the work and the people in the community and most of the builders were quick to learn a few words of the local language which made them to be welcomed, loved and be part of the community. The trip leaders on the other side were very innovative in organizing a few minutes daily for the builders to interact with the locals especially the children and enjoy great moments in participating in sports and sharing different cultures.
With the completion of the newly added classrooms the school is now at a better position to provide a better environment for learners which I believe it will also improve their grades and health. In such communities in Pote Domboshava class rooms are not limited to learning only, they share these facilities with the community, members of the community may also use these facilities under the direction of the school headmaster to hold community meetings and other activities as needed.”

HXP Builders constructed two new classrooms at a combined primary and junior high school. With just 160 students enrolled at the time, these additional classrooms welcomed 100 more kids into the school. The new classrooms are bright and inviting, providing an exciting space for students to learn and connect with one another. This expansion is empowering them to thrive academically and pave the way for brighter futures.
Cornelius, our Local Coordinator, said “This summer’s project was more than construction; it was a movement of hope. The moment the builders arrived, there was a tangible spark of renewal. We all watched with pride as empty, barren spaces came alive, and children gathered daily, curious and excited, knowing that what was being built was for them. Beyond the physical transformation, the project brought people together, Parents, children, church members. Local workers and builders worked side by side; laughter filled the air, and a shared sense of ownership grew stronger each day. For many, it was the first time they saw young people from different parts of the world working hand in hand to build something, and not just anything, but classrooms that will shape the future of the children in the community. That connection alone planted a seed of possibility and unity. For the builders, the impact was just as intense. They didn’t just build classrooms; they built relationships. They showed love, received love, and learned what it truly means to serve with heart. Many left with a deeper appreciation for resilience, simplicity, and the beauty of giving back. But this project went beyond what was given, it was about what was shared. It has become a living symbol of growth and partnership, a testament that when hearts and hands come together, communities don’t just change; they thrive.”

HXP Builders made a lasting impact in Cambodia by constructing two additional classrooms at a local primary school. The school currently served 394 students and 12 teachers, who were in desperate need of more classroom space. The efforts of HXP Builders that summer helped address this critical issue and positively affected the community for years to come.
Sophornn, our Local Coordinator, said, “The project has been impacting the community greatly. Our builders built two classrooms. Each classroom accommodates 40 kindergarten students. Kindergarten students study both classrooms morning and evening. It means 80 students in the morning and 80 students in the afternoon; therefore, there are 160 students studying in those two classrooms per day. That’s a great blessing for the whole community. The numbers of students have increased due to the classrooms built by our builders. Thank you!”

This year, HXP Builders constructed additional classrooms in Cochabamba, Bolivia, specifically to serve children with Down Syndrome. Bolivia is a country where a great portion of the population lives below the poverty line and thousands of children are not receiving education, so this project addressed a critical need. The new classrooms were added to a local school that already serves about 100 students with special needs so it created a more inclusive and accessible learning environment for these students. Not only did the HXP Builders help to provide a physical space of learning, but they also brought new hope and a sense of belonging for students and families who are often overlooked. This project is a great step forward toward equality, to help make sure that every child, regardless of life’s challenges, has the opportunity to learn and to grow.
Marcicley, our local coordinator, said, “This year’s project’s architectural plan included the construction of two large rooms for medical care, recreation, and physical activity. This meeting the community’s needs for more space was a significant demand. The expansion had been anticipated by the administration and the community for several years, and the local government lacked the financial resources to carry out this expansion. It was truly moving to witness nearly 100 happy young volunteers and workers, dedicated to a noble cause, working with joy, enthusiasm, and a lot of love to build a project that will benefit so many families for years to come. The warm welcome they received was a source of constant celebration. The camaraderie among the HXP youth and everyone involved, including unit staff and the work team, was truly harmonious, inspiring enthusiasm for everyone who participated directly and indirectly in this project. Our special thanks go to all the young people, leaders, and partners of HXP, who wrote this story together with the Santarém community, leaving seeds of hope that will continue to flourish in the years to come.”

Health Clinic Expansion – Click here for project timelapse!
HXP Builders in Santarem, Brazil worked to expand a local health clinic by building two new rooms designed for the care of children with disabilities. Brazil has many children with disabilities who do not receive the support they need, so this project responds immediately to a need. The new clinic spaces will now provide specialized care, including physical therapy, occupational therapy, and psychological support, for children who previously did not have access to these services. This expansion has not only improved the quality of healthcare available but also empowered local families with new opportunities for healing and growth. By giving more access to this health care, the Builders helped to lay the foundation for better, healthier futures and a stronger community.

Social Assistance Center Expansion – Click here for project timelapse!
HXP Builders helped to expand a local social assistance center in Belém, Brazil, by building a whole new building for education. There are lots of people in the area who do not receive the necessary education growing up and fail to perform many daily tasks. This keeps them in poverty their entire lives with limited opportunities to break the trend. This social assistance center teaches basic classes to adults and families to help them live better self-sufficient lives. The Builders work will help to educate more local families on how to more effectively live their lives, strengthen the community, and is a step towards breaking the cycle of poverty through access to further education.
Brazil Recife
Classroom Construction – Click here for project timelapse!
HXP Builders this year constructed additional classrooms at a community center in Recife, Brazil to help bring much needed educational support to an area that is greatly affected by poverty. Because of this, many children drop out of school to help support their families which leads to high levels of functionally illiterate people. The new classrooms now provide safe, consistent learning spaces for children who previously did not have it. By expanding the community center’s capacity, HXP Builders have helped more families in Recife to offer their children the tools they need to stay in school and build a better future. This project is a big step toward breaking the cycle of poverty, giving children a chance to succeed and create more opportunities in their lives.
George, our local coordinator, said, “A school that previously served only 60 children is now able to serve 150, leaving a unique mark of partnership, love, and dedication to others, demonstrated during the days the young people spent here. This was an event never before seen in the region, involving all the school professionals and causing immense joy with the Secretary of Education, the City Hall, and the entire community. Starting in January of next year, 150 mothers will have a safe place to leave their children so they can work and have more conditions to provide a better life for their families. I am very happy to participate in this work and contribute to these young people so they could carry out this project. Despite being far from their families, they felt at home and could feel everyone’s affection. My thanks go to the leaders and youth who came to donate their time and effort to make this work happen, and to everyone at HXP for their kindness and trust.”

During the summer, HXP Builders constructed new classrooms at a public school near Asunción, Paraguay, to support an indigenous community that faced many barriers to education over the years. In a country where only about half of students finish high school, this project directly helped the challenges of overcrowded and under-resourced schools. The additional classrooms have increased the school’s capacity which allows more children to enroll and access a real education in a safe and supportive environment. For many families, this is the first real opportunity to break the cycle of poverty through education. The Builders with this project have not only given a physical building, but also new hope for these students to chase their dreams and build a better life.
Our local coordinator, Emilio, said, “This year we carried out the project at the COPACO School. 700 students attend this school, from pre-school through elementary school. This institution is considered a school for people with limited resources. Students receive breakfast and lunch at the school, which is essential for each family. This project was very special for us because it is the first time the institution has a real building made of concrete. The school is characterized by having container classrooms… and this was very well received by the teachers and principals. On the day of the inauguration, the young builders shed a few tears seeing the joy on the children’s faces upon receiving their new classrooms. It’s incredible because the place was an abandoned lot, where homeless people threw trash and neighbors complained. Now, more than the principals, it’s the neighbors who are grateful because the place has undergone a complete transformation. It brings joy to the neighbors and makes the place more appreciated. With the three classrooms, 90 more children will be able to enroll next year. Very grateful to all the young people, leaders, and parents who gave their time, effort, and dedication to make this project a reality. Thank you for everything…a hug from Paraguay!”

This year, HXP Builders constructed two new classrooms in Chile designed directly for children with disabilities. In a region where the socioeconomic inequality gap limits opportunities, these new classrooms are a safe learning environment for students who previously had barriers to their education. The project has opened new doors for families seeking quality specialized education. The Builders are provided not only a physical structure, but also a structure of hope in the lives of those in the area. These classrooms now stand as a symbol of inclusion, growth, and opportunity, to help every child, regardless of their background or ability, have a place to learn and thrive.
Humberto, our local coordinator said, “Its main objective was to build two classrooms to teach smaller classes. Given the growth of children with ASD (autism spectrum disorder), the principal requested that one room be built to serve as a “calming room” (a place to calm children when they are very upset). While it’s true that everything accomplished was material and entailed improvement, the most important thing is the emotional and spiritual growth, culminating in a bond of friendship and a closer relationship with Heavenly Father through spiritual experiences. All young people are a unique and beautiful world with pure feelings, but what impresses me is the team spirit that the leadership in charge achieves. The students not only receive the construction but also the affection of HXP. Thank you for allowing me to be part of this beautiful team and also to grow.”

HXP Builders constructed two additional classrooms in one of Colombia’s poorest communities, creating educational spaces for more than 100 young students who come from low-income families. These classrooms helped bridge the infrastructure gap that limited access to quality education, offering students a supportive environment in which they could learn and grow. Through this project, HXP aimed to empower young learners, fostering a culture of learning that helped break cycles of poverty and promoted brighter futures for children and their families.
Cami, our Local Coordinator, said, “This summer, HXP Builders transformed the lives of 300 children in Girón, Santander—a warm and humid town where temperatures stay around 86°F (30°C) year-round. The neighborhood began when families settled on vacant land, first building makeshift shelters and later brick homes. The narrow, steep streets can barely fit a motorcycle, and the local El Paraíso School serves 300 students from preschool to fifth grade in two shifts. With just seven classrooms and no covered play area, the children used to spend recess in the hallways because the dirt yard was too hot to use. That changed when HXP Builders came to construct a multipurpose room where the kids can now play, learn, and create safely. Before HXP, many of them had never met anyone from another country and thought no one beyond their teachers cared about their education. But after 104 American teenagers taught English, built alongside them, and shared genuine kindness, the children of El Paraíso now know they matter—that their dreams and education are important, that they are loved, and that God is aware of them, sending people to remind them of that love.”

By creating additional space for early learning activities led by trained preschool teachers, this project aimed to provide these children with essential educational experiences while allowing their mothers the opportunity to work and build a more stable future.
Our local coordinator, David, said, “I feel blessed by God to have had the opportunity to collaborate on this wonderful project. During this time, my family and I have felt the love of our Savior. I give thanks to God and to the organization for demonstrating that to love God is to love people.”

Jesseni, our Local Coordinator, said, “This project gave us the opportunity to serve and give love to people, children, and young people. We could feel the Savior’s love when we arrived at school and taught them English classes. One day we were planning to take a photo with everyone, and when the children arrived at school, we heard a huge but peaceful surge of children’s voices coming out of their classrooms to greet them. That day, I was able to feel my Savior and see the children hugging the young people. It was truly beautiful, and I know they enjoyed it.”

HXP Builders embarked on a project this past summer to enhance a nursery that supports battered, abused, and abandoned women, allowing them to work while their children are cared for. They constructed two new classrooms and an accessible bathroom for both adults and children, addressing the growing demand for childcare and educational support. By expanding the nursery’s capacity, this initiative provided crucial assistance to vulnerable mothers and their infants, aged 6 to 18 months. The new facilities will accommodate the waiting children, ensuring mothers could maintain their jobs and secure a stable future for their families. This project not only addressed immediate childcare needs but also fostered a safe and nurturing environment where children could grow and thrive, ultimately contributing to breaking the cycle of poverty in the community. The organization that HXP partnered with to make this project happen decided to finish the project after the hours spent by the HXP Builders because of the want for further additions to the building.
Our local coordinator, Luis, said, “For the community, the project helped them realize that anything can be achieved through teamwork. It also benefited more than 20 children who now have a safe place to grow and study, and it gave parents the opportunity to work and provide for their families.”

HXP Builders built a medical center, doing more than improving healthcare infrastructure—they empowered families with the ability to thrive. Accessible medical care prevents tragedies, supports healthy development, and provides a foundation for economic and social stability. This project wasn’t just about a building—it was about creating a community where children grew up healthier, parents worked without fear of untreated illnesses, and everyone had the opportunity to pursue their dreams. Together, we transformed lives and paved the way for a healthier, more hopeful future, one step at a time!
Our Local Coordinator, Nefi, said “The Summer 2025 Project was the greatest example of service I have ever seen from young people who, with so much dedication and love, gave their all every single day, dedicated, joyful, sincere, and full of a radiant light that reflected from within them. They made me feel part of something truly wonderful. The community, for its part, has been blessed by this beautiful construction project. The connection that was created between the children, parents, and young volunteers has profoundly marked their lives. The community wondered how there could be young people who, in this day and age, would choose to share their time, talents, joy, and friendship instead of focusing on their own activities.”

HXP Builders stepped up to build two new classrooms and bathrooms for a local preschool. This project helped 100 kids aged 18 months to 3 years from about 50 families who were struggling financially. By creating a safe and welcoming space for learning, these new classrooms made it easier for young kids to get an education, setting them up for better chances in school and in their future careers.
Our Local Coordinator, Luis, said “The 2025 Project with the construction of CUNAMAS in IQUITOS impacted me in a very special way, because accompanying the young people in the project strengthened my testimony about love and service to others. While being with them, I could see how some of them changed and others became even stronger. This project has had a very important impact on the community, because now more children will have the opportunity to be cared for in their early childhood, and many parents will have the chance to work and obtain the means to support their families knowing their children are being cared for. Likewise, the love shown by the young people has been important, as it has led some families to ask about the Church and even get baptized.”

In Belmopan, Belize, HXP Builders constructed two new classrooms to help the school meet the growing needs of its community. The existing classrooms were in poor condition – cracked foundations had led to termite and ant infestations, while leaky roofs, rotting beams, and broken doors made the buildings unsafe and uncomfortable. With over 600 students attending, the overcrowded and overheated spaces made it difficult for children to focus and learn effectively. The new classrooms alleviated these challenges by providing safe, durable, and comfortable spaces where both young children and teenagers can learn, grow, and thrive for years to come.

The Peteros family shared, “The first impact of the summer project is that it brought the church out of obscurity. This area is predominantly Methodist but the fact that we put in money that many organizations cannot afford speaks for itself in the sacrifice by members and their children is a powerful lesson for the communities here. Many government officials were curious to know how the project was run so effectively as there are big problems here with the management of money and other resources. The local community has not had this kind of positive influence and are grateful for it because of new things they’ve learned. Everyone, including the children have been impacted positively.”
