Be a Builder

Your role on the trip

We don't call you participants, we don't call you kids. We call you Builders because what you are doing out there is actually building.

  • Building a structure
  • Building a friend group
  • Building up the locals
  • Building your testimony
  • Building yourself

With that in mind, here's our suggestion: Scroll through the different trip options and see which projects and locations call to you. What type of service feels right for you? What do you feel called to?

We believe that there is a reason that you choose a specific location for this summer, and the reason will usually have to do with the people in your group and the people that you serve.

Sometimes the service you'll do won't be what you expect. It might turn out to be that one Builder in your group who sits alone on the bus, or the local foreman who becomes your best friend, or sitting and sharing a meal with that family next door to the worksite that will impact you the most.

Whatever your particular purpose is, we're confident that by the end of your trip, you'll see miracles. It's time to write your page in the HXP story.

Hear it from Builders

Humanitarian Experience made me realize my self worth. It made me feel loved and a part of something bigger than myself. HXP changed my life in a way that I can't describe, I feel happier than I did before the trip, more confident and grateful.
