2027 Project Story: Indonesia Bali Taman

November 2026

Across Indonesia, practical vocational education is a vital engine for economic mobility, equipping young adults with specialized skills to transition directly into the workforce ¹. National data shows that upper secondary enrollment reaches approximately 69%, yet vocational tracks face critical capacity constraints that leave millions of youth without access to practical technical training ² ³. Expanding access to quality vocational facilities remains a key national strategy to keep local youth in school, reduce regional youth unemployment, and build strong economic opportunities ⁴.

In the densely populated urban areas surrounding Jakarta, community-based secondary schools provide essential learning opportunities, yet many struggle to accommodate growing student demand within limited physical spaces. One local secondary school faces severe space constraints as local youth seek practical technical training. While school leadership maintains warm and dedicated administrative spaces, the aging classroom blocks—last renovated over a decade ago—are overcrowded and visibly worn down. With limited government aid available, the school currently lacks the structural capacity to expand, forcing them to turn away nearly 100 prospective local students each year who are eager to gain valuable skills.

Alongside local builders, school faculty, and community partners, HXP Builders will help clear the current concrete plot and construct a new multi-classroom block to expand the school’s capacity. This space will provide up to 100 new students each year with a bright, safe, and modern environment for daily academic instruction, hands-on vocational workshops, and extracurricular programs. By expanding this physical infrastructure, the project creates sustainable educational access for local youth, helping ease the financial burden on families while equipping the next generation with practical skills to thrive.
